PAYMENT DISPUTE & CHARGEBACK POLICY
Effective Date: August 8, 2026
At TVirden Tax Services Inc., we are committed to providing professional tax preparation, tax consulting, amendment, and related services. We encourage clients to contact us directly regarding any billing or service concern so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.
CONTACT US BEFORE INITIATING A DISPUTE
If you have a question or concern regarding a payment, charge, service, or transaction, please contact TVirden Tax Services Inc. first.
We ask that clients provide us with a reasonable opportunity to review and address the issue before contacting their bank or card issuer regarding a payment dispute.
Stripe likewise advises customers to first contact the business to attempt to resolve a purchase issue before pursuing a dispute with their bank.
AUTHORIZATION OF PAYMENTS
By purchasing services from TVirden Tax Services Inc., you acknowledge that:
-
You authorized the payment submitted through our website, invoice, payment link, or other approved payment method.
-
You have reviewed the service description and applicable pricing before completing your purchase.
-
You agree to provide accurate and complete information necessary for us to perform the purchased services.
-
You understand the nature and scope of the service you purchased.
-
You agree to our applicable Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, engagement agreement, and other policies presented to you at the time of purchase.
PAYMENT DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
A chargeback or payment dispute should not be used as a substitute for contacting TVirden Tax Services Inc. regarding a service or billing concern.
If a payment dispute is initiated, TVirden Tax Services Inc. reserves the right to respond to and contest the dispute when we believe the transaction was properly authorized and the purchased services were provided or made available as agreed.
Our response may include relevant documentation such as:
-
Proof of payment authorization
-
Signed agreements or acknowledgments
-
Client intake records
-
Appointment and consultation records
-
Communications between the client and TVirden Tax Services Inc.
-
Evidence that services were performed or delivered
-
Copies of applicable refund, cancellation, and service policies
-
Other transaction documentation reasonably relevant to the dispute
Stripe specifically identifies proof of customer authorization, proof of service or delivery, terms of service, and refund policies as potentially useful dispute evidence.
FRAUDULENT OR UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS
Nothing in this policy limits a cardholder’s rights under applicable law, card-network rules, or the rules of their financial institution.
If you believe your card or payment information was used without your authorization, contact your financial institution promptly and notify TVirden Tax Services Inc. so that we can review the transaction.
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Refund eligibility is governed by the TVirden Tax Services Inc. Refund & Cancellation Policy presented on our website or during checkout.
Submitting a payment dispute does not modify the terms of that policy or automatically establish entitlement to a refund.
SERVICES ALREADY PERFORMED
Once tax preparation, consultation, tax strategy, amendment work, document review, research, administrative processing, or another purchased service has begun or been completed, the transaction will be considered in accordance with the service agreement and refund policy accepted at purchase.
If a dispute is filed concerning an authorized transaction for services already provided, TVirden Tax Services Inc. may submit documentation demonstrating authorization and fulfillment to the applicable payment processor, card network, and financial institution.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Clients are encouraged to contact us directly regarding billing concerns so that we can attempt to resolve them promptly.
If a client nevertheless exercises a legally available right to initiate a dispute, the dispute will be handled according to applicable law, the client’s card issuer or financial institution, the applicable card-network rules, and Stripe’s procedures. Stripe explains that the card issuer—not Stripe or the merchant—ultimately determines the outcome of a card dispute.
